About Us

The Zappelloni family  emigrated from Borgomanero, in the Province of Novara in the Piedmont region of Italy in the late 1800’s to Hendon , London.

They worked in and ran restaurants. Many years and a lot of history on from that our family enjoys Italian food and produce with all the rich variety that brings. 

Recently we fell in love with the people, sights and flavours of Puglia - the region in Southern Italy famed for its olive oil. There are an estimated 50 to 60 million olive trees in Puglia, and the region accounts for 40% of Italy's olive oil production. 

On our travels we met the Caroli family, running a family business making the finest olive oils and other produce. Their olive groves and processing maceria are based in Martina Franca, a delightful small town near Ostuni - commonly referred to as "the White Town" (La Città Bianca in Italian) for its white walls and its typically white-painted architecture

Although sold and appreciated worldwide this Caroli produced oil has never been fully available in the UK. We decided that needed to change and set about importing a selection of our favourites. Our plan is to add to our offering other artisanal produce from Puglia that will complement these fine oils. Bringing authentic Artisanal Italian Produce to the UK market.
